A blocked gutter is rarely just a blocked gutter. Water that cannot get away runs down the wall instead, soaks the render, finds the wall plate, rots the fascia and eventually shows up inside as a damp patch nobody connects to a handful of leaves three storeys up.

How roof & gutters works, step by step

  1. Look before touching

    We check the roofline and, where a leak is already showing inside, consider a thermal drone pass to find where water is actually getting in.

  2. Clear and flush

    Debris is removed rather than pushed along, joints and outlets are checked, and downpipes are flushed to confirm they run freely.

  3. Treat and repair

    Moss is removed and, where growth keeps returning, dry steam deals with it without chemicals. Minor mortar, flashing and roofline repairs are carried out on the same visit.

  4. Report back

    You get a straight account of what we found, what we did, and anything worth watching before next winter.

How often should gutters be cleared?

Most properties benefit from a check once a year, and twice where there are overhanging trees. Autumn leaf fall is the usual trigger for a blockage.

Can you reach gutters over a conservatory or extension?

Yes. That is one of the classic cases for a tracked spider lift, because the platform can be positioned without loading the glass or the flat roof.

Do you clear narrow box gutters?

Yes. Narrow and high-level box gutters on commercial buildings are regular work for us and are exactly where debris causes the most expensive damage.

Will you tell me if the roof needs work?

Yes, honestly, and with photographs. We will also tell you when something does not need doing yet.

Do you remove roof moss?

Yes. Moss is removed and, where it keeps coming back, 150 °C dry steam kills the growth without chemicals running off into your garden.
