Drone inspection
A LADS thermal drone inspection reads the temperature of a building from the air, revealing damp, missing insulation, leak paths and hot electrical joints in minutes.
Water and heat both leave a signature. Wet insulation holds temperature differently from dry insulation; a failed lap in a flat roof stays warm long after the surrounding deck has cooled; a loose electrical connection runs hotter than its neighbours. A thermal camera sees all of it, and a drone puts that camera exactly where a person cannot easily go.
The result is a survey that covers an entire block, roof or elevation in a single visit, with nothing touched and nobody working at height. For managing agents chasing the source of a leak across multiple flats, it turns weeks of guesswork into an afternoon.
We confirm the site address, what you are trying to find and the airspace position, then agree a flight window that gives the thermal contrast the survey needs.
The aircraft flies a planned pattern over roofs and elevations, capturing paired thermal and visual imagery so every anomaly can be tied to a physical location.
Images are reviewed for genuine anomalies rather than reflections, solar gain or wet surfaces, and the pattern of each anomaly is matched to a likely cause.
You receive the imagery with the anomalies marked up and a plain-English explanation of what each one appears to be — and, where you want it, a lift and a team to go and confirm it.

Damp and moisture ingress, missing or wet insulation, thermal bridging, leak paths through flat roofs, and hot electrical connections. It shows temperature differences, which is how those defects reveal themselves.
No. The survey is flown, so there is no roof access, no scaffold and no contact with the building. That is often the whole point of choosing it.
When there is a clear temperature difference between inside and outside — usually early morning or after dusk. We will advise the right window for your building.
Thermal imaging shows the wet area and the likely path water is taking, which is usually enough to target the investigation. We can then put a lift up to confirm it physically.
Rain, standing water and strong wind all interfere, so we plan around the forecast. If conditions will not give a reliable result we will say so rather than fly for the sake of it.
